Frequently Asked Questions
Does the 4” MadJax King XD fit gas Yamaha Drive2 with independent rear suspension?
Yes. Kit #16-062 fits gas Yamaha Drive2 2017 and newer models with independent rear suspension. It is not intended for electric models or carts with a solid/fixed rear axle. Yamaha G29/Drive and Drive2 models with a solid/fixed rear axle require kit #16-061 instead, sold separately.
What tire sizes can I use with this 4" lift kit?
This 4" lift kit provides 4 inches of lift with clearance for tires up to 22 inches in outside diameter. The recommended tire range is 20–22 inches, with a minimum wheel size of 10 inches.
How is this kit designed with the installer in mind?
The bolt-on design requires no drilling, and the lower main frame comes pre-assembled and pre-greased. These features help simplify installation, reducing the installation time by up to 25%. The included instructions contain QR codes linking to installation videos.
Does the King XD use Heim joints, and how do I adjust camber/toe during the installation?
The King XD uses a kingpin design in place of traditional Heim joints. Its turnbuckle and jam nut design makes adjusting camber/toe during the installation easier. Turnbuckle-style camber adjustment also lets you make adjustments without removing the tires after installation.
What comes with the lift kit?
The kit includes the #16-055 front lift kit and the #16-056 independent rear suspension lift kit, supplied in two boxes. A bottle of thread-locking adhesive is also included.
Do you recommend a front counterweight?
Yes. The #16-058 Front Counterweight Kit is recommended to help increase front steering stability. It is sold separately.
